Frequently Asked Questions

Because the individual nature of each of our clients’ illnesses can vary widely, it is difficult to say with any degree of accuracy exactly how long any particular treatment may last.  Certainly, there is no one-size-fits-all “typical” treatment program that we recommend for our clients. That’s why we place so much emphasis on our initial assessment, in order to custom-tailor precisely the right program according to each client’s individual needs.  At JOURNEY MALIBU we offer a comprehensive 30-day Residential Rehabilitation Program. On occasion, based on our client’s schedules, we can make exceptions. Our programs are designed to foster recovery, while still maintaining support for our clients’ successful business or personal lives. We understand that personal recovery is about participation in life, rather than separation from it.

There should be relatively few unanticipated fees or charges.  However, there is no set price for treatment at JOURNEY MALIBU. Prices are determined according to our assessment of each client’s individual needs. There are a variety of factors, such as Detoxification, inpatient treatment, supplemental therapies, and length of stay, which can affect the total cost. We will always be up front about the treatments we feel our clients require, and the accompanying costs for those therapies.

If not, will you help me seek at least partial reimbursement?
JOURNEY MALIBU is a private pay facility and, as such, does not directly accept any insurance plans. Yes, we do recommend and work closely with professional insurance advocates who will be available to assist our clients in obtaining reimbursement for covered benefits under their existing insurance policies.
